Can I get the card?
Winner's Edge · AGLCMembers must be 18 or older and pick up the card at Guest Services with government ID. People in self-exclusion cannot join.
How the card works
Winner's Edge is free. Membership can be started online, at a kiosk or at Guest Services. The card itself is picked up at Guest Services with government ID. Members must be 18 or older, the same age required to enter any gaming facility in Alberta. The casino links to the program from its website; its own VIP CLUB is an email newsletter, not a players club.
Points build up on slots and electronic table games. They can be redeemed for play credit or for contest ballots. Members also get 10% off select food and non-alcoholic drinks at Alberta casinos. The card is used at many Alberta casinos, and Great Northern Casino is one of them.
Limits on the card
Members can set spending limits, time limits and alerts through the GameSense My Activity and Budgeting Tools. The tools are on the Winner's Edge kiosk in any Alberta casino, and they are also available online. A Responsible Gambling Info Centre representative is on site at Great Northern Casino.
People enrolled in AGLC's Self-Exclusion Program cannot become Winner's Edge members. Enrolment in that program is online only, at selfexclusion.ca. It covers Alberta casinos and racing entertainment centres, regulated online gaming, or both, for six months, one, two or three years. It starts immediately and cannot be cancelled early.
About the VIP CLUB name
The VIP CLUB on Great Northern Casino's website is an email newsletter. It is not a players club, despite the name. The card is Winner's Edge, AGLC's province-wide loyalty program. Points, the 10% discount on select food and non-alcoholic drinks, and the GameSense limit tools all belong to that card.
- Winner's Edge is run by AGLC across Alberta, not by Great Northern Casino.
- People enrolled in self-exclusion are not eligible for Winner's Edge.
